Porn Star Rainbow Robbins was one of the very first women who could rightly be called by that title. Rainbow Robbins was living and working in New York during the late 60s and early 70s, a time when the notion of free love was everywhere. It was during a wild swing party in 1971, in fact, that Rainbow Robbins was first approached by a would-be porn producer with the idea of appearing in his film. A sexual adventurer above all else, Rainbow Robbins jumped at the chance.

She appeared in a handful of clips over the next few years, back in the days when most porn was of the quickie loop variety. Rainbow Robbins did star in one of the very first feature porn films, 1974's 'Marriage and Other 4 Letter Words.' A free-spirited examination of the swing scene at the time, the flick finds Rainbow Robbins delving deep into her erotic bag of tricks in a couple of scenes.

While the likes of Linda Lovelace and Annette Haven would soon drive the real-life swingers like Rainbow Robbins underground again, Rainbow Robbins was briefly one of the only female porn starlets in the world. Fans of enthusiastic and energetic older women should certainly check her out -- she was one of the true porn pioneers.
